Abstract
This study aims to describe the ability of JHS students in the city of Padang in solving mathematical problems in the PISA model with the mobile context in terms of the level, content, and mathematical process. This type of research is descriptive research. This research was implemented in three schools with low, medium, and high abilities are SMP N 40 Padang, SMP N 30 Padang, and SMP N 8 Padang. The research data in the form of written tests and then analyzed descriptively quantitative and qualitative. The percentage of students who are able to solve PISA-based questions is reviewed from the level, are : level 1 by 86,50%; level 2 by 68,93%; level 3 by 46,14%; level 4 by 56,26%; level 5 by 36,90%, and level 6 by 23,37%. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be seen that the students ability to solve the mathematical problem in the PISA model in terms of the levels PISA still low. This is due to a lack of students ability to interpret data, communicate their ideas, and are weak in reasoning.
