Abstract

This study aims to find out and describe whether the application of the constructivism approach to the game of the professor can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII students of SMPN 10 Padang academic year 2018/2019. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a Randomized Control Group Only Design study design. The study population was all VII grade students of SMPN 10 Padang. The sampling technique is Random Sampling by lottery, so that class VII.F is obtained as the experimental class and class VII.G as the control class. Data collection in research through the final test in the form of reasoning ability tests were analyzed by t test with real level.The results of this study indicate that by applying the Constructivism approach to the game the Professor can improve students learning outcomes in mathematics. Based on the analysis of the final test results using Minitab software, obtained P-value = 0,001, then H0 is rejected which means that the learning outcomes of students with the application of Constructivism approach with the professor's game are better than the learning outcomes of students with conventional learning in class VII SMPN 10 Padang. The conclusion is there is a significant effect on the application of the constructivism approach with the game of the Professor towards the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII students of SMPN 10 Padang.
