Abstract

ABSTRACT In the process of education and teaching at an educational institution, involves several elements, among others: teachers, students, curriculum, teaching materials, media, purpose, method, system assessment. One important element of his rolw in the process of education and teaching in highier educatioan is a lecturer. Therefore, how well the curriculum, instructional media sophistication, facilities and magnificent, is not yet guarantee the implementation of effective education and teaching, where teachers have not been able contribute the maximum in the harness and create learning situations that are conducive to achieving educational objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor). Lecturer who conduct the assessment or evaluation of learning outcomes, mean teachers do a process of making decisions about students, whether students succueed or fail in achieving the learning objectives? Lecturers need to do the decision making process carefully. The wrong decision would be detrimental to various parties including students, parents and schools. In some unibersities the evaluation study conducted by professors with the system of mid term exams, semester exams, quizzes, structured tasks, affective, or the presence and with different weighting to determine the final grades obtained by students. Thus the evaluation form that will be used by lecturers in the learning can be selected and determined in accordance with academic rules that apply in the university.
