Abstract

Diversification of products through hybrid briquettes as an alternative fuel to be one of the efforts of developing renewable energy. Waste production process in the form of bagasse and durian leather is one potential material of renewable energy source that can be processed and used as fuel briquette (Hybrida Briquetting Fuel). Success in processing and producing it, can reduce the dependence on energy fuel oil (BBM). Petroleum fuel for the middle to lower class is the main requirement. Scarcity of this main need can be replaced with hybrid briquettes made from raw mixture of bagasse waste and durian leather. The effort and innovation of hybrid briquette development with various variance and blend of adhesive ie tapioca, clay, resin used so it is possible in improving the quality and performance. The technology of hybrid briquette making process using fittings (compaction) and optimizing the composition of the appropriate mixture is the optimal effort in improving the quality. The results of this study, in the form of utilization of waste bagasse and durian skin successfully made into a hybrid briquette. The hybrid briquette on the resulting 3C type mixture has a calorific value of 14,920.66 kJ at a mixture of 80: 20 percentage and a density of 0.619 Kg/m . From the acquisition of the characteristic value so that it can be recommended as alternative fuel in the effort of developing renewable energy.
