Abstract
The concentration of trace Pb (II) in sludge samples from Batang Anai River’s Padang were investigated in this study. The samples collected from three location and each location consist of three point sampling. In this study, Pb(II) were determined in some sludge samples after development Al(OH) coprecipitation procedure using flame atomic absorbtion spectrometry (FAAS). Trace amounts of Pb (II) were quantitatively coprecipitated with Al(OH) 3 at pH 6 and the coprecipitant could be easily dissolved with 1 mol dm3 -3 nitric acid. The proposed method was successfully applied to determination of lead in sludge samples
