Abstract

This research is aimed at desribing the relevancen of methematic subject matter and appliet mechanic in the curriculum of mechanical departmen, state university of padang (UNP). Content analysis approach is used in this research. Data are collected throught document analysis (curiculum) and suplementted by interview with lectures from both of study subject. The result of this research show that there is not adequate revelance found in the materials between mathematics subject matter and statics, kinematics and dinamics, and mechanics, on the other hand. There is good relevance between mathematic. Subject matter and thermody-namics and fluid of mechanic. So, to strenghthen the relevance among the subject matter, there is a need to revise mathematic and applied mechanic curiculum at the mechanical departmen..
