Abstract

The importance of developing an active, creative and innovative learning process in order to provide meaningful and effective learning, it is necessary to develop a model of Problem Base Learning (PBL) learning on Installing Installation of Simple Electricity Illumination Installation (MIPLBS) for students of class X TITL SMKN 1 Padang through research this. The type of research conducted is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which aims to get a solution of the low activity and creativity of student learning which leads to low achievement of learning objectives. Research data collected through observation of student learning activities as much as 3 cycles of learning by observer, each cycle measured the results of learning by the number of students in the class of 30 people. Collected data were analyzed by percentage technique. Based on the results of the data analysis found that student learning outcomes increased from 70% complete and 30% incomplete in cycle I, to 83% complete and 17% unfinished in cycle II, for 93% cycles 93% complete and 7% unfinished. For active student learning activity from 68,89% in cycle I to 77,78% in cycle II and 93,33% in cycle III. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that the implementation of project-based learning model can improve learning activities and student learning outcomes class X TITL.A. SMKN 1 Padang
